Peer- Review Policy of Management and Finance Bulletin

Peer Review Process

Management and Finance Bulletin follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, academic integrity, and scholarly merit of all manuscripts submitted for publication. In this process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

Review Procedure

All manuscripts submitted to the journal, including Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Book Reviews, Case Studies, Perspectives and Commentaries, and Short Communications, undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether they fall within the journal's scope and satisfy the basic standards of quality, originality, and ethical publishing.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are assigned to qualified subject experts and/or Editorial Board members for independent peer review through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the basis of originality, significance, methodology, clarity, ethical compliance, relevance to the journal's scope, and overall scholarly contribution.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may take one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript without revisions.

  • Accept the manuscript subject to minor revisions.

  • Request major revisions and invite the authors to resubmit the revised manuscript for further review.

  • Reject the manuscript if it does not meet the journal's academic or ethical standards.

Where revisions are requested, the authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript addressing all reviewer comments. The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewer(s) for further evaluation before a final editorial decision is made.

The reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, timely, and unbiased evaluations while maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscript and adhering to the highest standards of publication ethics.

The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests solely with the Editor or Editor-in-Chief, who considers the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revisions, and the journal's editorial policies before making a final decision.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received by the journal are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers shall not disclose, discuss, or use any unpublished material contained in submitted manuscripts for their personal research or benefit without the explicit written consent of the author(s).

Editorial Independence

Management and Finance Bulletin is committed to maintaining an impartial, fair, and transparent peer-review process. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of the manuscript's scholarly merit, originality, relevance, methodological rigour, and compliance with the journal's ethical and editorial standards, without discrimination based on the authors' nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.
